Good morning. It’s a mild start across the region, with many areas in the mid to high teens.

Our Saturday will be mostly fine in the east, with temperatures set to challenge 30 degrees. We may see a few spill over showers in parts of South and Mid Canterbury. While it will be fine in the east, heavier and more significant falls affect the Main Divide & Canterbury Headwaters. Strong to gale force nor-westerlies also affect the Canterbury High Country and we have a strong wind warning in place, with full details.
