A FINE SATURDAY – early frosts for most of the region

Good morning. It’s one of our coldest starts (so far) in 2024, with frosts across the region. Parts of Christchurch briefly dropped to -2, -3 degrees, with Fairlie and Castle Hill Village starting the day on an icy -4 degrees.

Our Saturday is looking brilliant overall, with bright and sunny conditions. Light nor-easterlies develop about Pegasus Bay/Christchurch from late morning, with light nor-westerlies developing elsewhere. Temperatures push into the mid to high teens, with nor-westerly influence. A few spots south of Christchurch and about inland areas may challenge 18 degrees around 2-3pm.
