Skedaddle trail running 27th April

Taking place at the majestic Island Hills Station, Skedaddle is one of North Canterbury’s newest trail running events. With nature at the heart of the event, all proceeds will go towards conservation efforts in the Mandamus Preservation Reserve Trust, which includes the largest QEII Open Space Covenant in Canterbury.

We would love to have you join us on Saturday 27th April 2024!

The race consists of five distances; 42km, 30km, 15km, 10km and a kids 4km. The courses are all point-to-point along stunning singletrack through the privately-owned Island Hills Station.

Aptly named after the highest point on the property, Mt Skedaddle (1704m), it’s time to take flight for nature!

RACE FORECAST – Saturday, 27th April.

Fine, with early frost risk in sheltered spots and cold temperatures. Sunny skies follow, with light west/nor-westerly winds through the day. Possibly blustery gusts at times about higher, more exposed sections (15-30km/hr).

Temperatures climbing through the morning; peaking around 15-16 degrees at midday.

Overall statement – fantastic, after a chilly start! Nor-westerly winds t times, but not forecast to be strong below 1000m. Enjoy!
