  • WHAT IS A CWU MEMBERSHIP?
    A CWU membership is an online membership subscription service. Our membership provides thousands of people the most informative, intensive and up to date weather information for the Canterbury region.

 

  • WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
    A professional weather forecasting service, focusing purely on the Canterbury region. We are Canterbury’s only professional regional forecaster, meaning our content is updated on a regular basis, our service is highly accurate, intensive and informative.

 

  • WHO USES OUR MEMBERSHIP SERVICE?
    In short, everyone. Schools, professional sports teams, ski fields, council, local authorities, farmers, tourism operations we have members in all sectors and jobs here in Canterbury.

 

  • WHY DO WE CHARGE A SMALL PRICE FOR OUR MEMBERSHIP?
    Canterbury Weather Updates isn’t funded by the Government. We’re a private organisation with a passion for providing the Canterbury region with accurate, detailed and up to date weather information.

 

  • HOW DOES OUR MEMBERSHIP WORK?
    You create an account, and enter your credit card details into our secure payment system. The payment will be processed automatically each month. Once you have signed up, all you need to do is log in to gain access.

 

  • ARE THERE ANY CONTRACTS?
    No, you can come and go as you please.

 

  • CAN YOU CHANGE YOUR MEMBERSHIP LEVEL?
    Yes, but you’ll need to delete your current account and sign up again.

 

  • HOW DO YOU CANCEL?
    Simply head to My Account and cancel.

 

  • DO WE HAVE AN APP?
    No. Our website is totally mobile responsive therefore works just like any app. You can save our website, just like an app, to your homepage on your phone.

 

  • IS THE MEMBERSHIP SECURE?
    Yes, our payments are handled with all the latest security systems in place. Our members are on PayPal and Stripe, the most recognised and secure payment gateways internationally. Your payment information is private and secure.

 

  • WHAT DO I DO IF I FORGET MY PASSWORD?
    Send the request ‘Forgot my password’ and then take the long temporary password sent; please note this may go to your junk emails. Log in with your username and temporary password then head to the My Account and enter your new password.

 

  • WHY DO I NEED TO LOGIN?
    This is simple way of managing your account. You can ‘click’ on the remember me’ which will save your login details. This will depend on what device you have, your settings and whether or not you log out after each session.

 

  • HOW DO I UPDATE MY BILLING INFORMATION?  
    Simply head to your ‘My Account’ page and enter your new card details.

  • HOW DO YOU CLAIM YOUR DISCOUNT?
    Simply present your membership profile at the checkout on your mobile device, in the ‘My Account’ section or present your physical membership card.

 

  • AFTER A PHYSICAL CARD?
    Simply log in and head to the ‘My Account’ page and order your card. Please note you don’t need a PayPal account, it’s purely the secure payment gateway.

 

  • LOST YOUR CARD? EXPIRED CARD? 
    Simply order your card by heading to the ‘My Account’ page.

 

  • WHERE DO I ACCESS THE ONLINE DISCOUNT CODES ?
    On the ‘My Account’ page.
