Sunshine and blue skies in Rangiora. Could hear the thunder and see the grey storm clouds but it missed us completely

Great shot of the lightening the thunder was certainly very loud! Much to my cat’s distress!

Driving on ohoka road into the storm and encountered a mass of birds flying away from it and the next second there was heavy hail. I guess the birds were one step in front of the hail and high tailing it outta there. Very scary driving thru it, the hailstones were exploding when the hit the car and windscreen
