☁️SOUTHERLY FLOW COVERS THE REGION TODAY – MOSTLY CLOUDY & COOLER.

Nearly 4 mls here in Totara Valley near Pleasant Point, Sth Canterbury. Still cool with low cloud and steady drizzle, keep it coming the ground is rock hard here 👍

🌀Winds in excess of 150km/hr about higher elevations. Extreme fire risk.

➡️A strong north to nor-westerly flow covers the region today, bringing severe nor-westerly gales about the Canterbury High Country & Foothills.

➡️Winds have the potential to cause damage to trees, powerlines and make driving extremely hazardous through the Interior and about our alpine passes.

➡️In addition to strong winds, heavy rain will also affect the Main Divide & Canterbury Headwaters until evening.
