🌫🌫LIVE - two great snaps, capturing the Lyttelton and Christchurch lights under the fog this morning. Christchurch Gondola.

💨An active day coming up on the weather front, with nor-westerly gales about the high country (Canterbury Weather Updates wind warning in place) and heavy rain about the Main Divide.

🌦We may catch some scattered spill over falls later today.

🌦❄️A brief cooler front remains on course tomorrow and were watching Sunday with interest, with snow related warnings possible later this week.

No hail in north canterbury or city I see

The month of October is known for its unpredictable weather patterns, making it the most volatile month of the year.

none in the east though we're dry :)

I heard thunder in Nelson/Richmond about 3 hours ago

Hopefully a thunderstorm for Ashburton love a good storm

Calm before the storm then in rakaia

I can't see black clouds or hear Thunder storms yet in christchurch

need to watch a good thunder and lightening storm without rain
