Burkes Pass- What are we in for in this coming weather event?
Hi, we are lambing at the moment and we are just wanting to know what we might expect with this weather event coming through? We go upwards from 580m and located halfway up the rollesby valley road (near Burkes Pass)

Hi there. Yes, significant weather. Our Lake Tekapo forecast will be fairly similar in some respects. Heavy snow at this stage, especially above 650-700m, but even at 580 I would expect heavy snow, possible 15-20cm, if it falls as rain, possible flooding and around 50-80mm. Conditions deteriorate late tonight, easing back Saturday evening.
So a lot of moisture, how much of this falls as snow will be a little more complex at 580m, but I would prepare for some heavy snow.
