☁️☁️Its gloomy out there! Were struggling to find any sun on our webcam pages today - just a wee teaser from the summit of Mt John, looking west over Lake Alexandrina currently.

🌧🌧Were now looking at another rain maker early next week, which may bring heavier falls to parts of South and Mid Canterbury. More via our Live Weather Feed.

🌧🌧LIVE AT 8:45AM - heavy rain continues to affect parts of North Canterbury and Banks Peninsula.

🌧A few stations about the Port Hills have now exceeded 40mm; over a months rainfall.

🌧A number of stations on Banks Peninsula have now exceeded 50mm, with an additional 20mm likely in some areas; almost 2 months rainfall by midday.

🌧Parts of North Canterbury are closing in on 80-90mm; over 2 months rainfall!

⚠️Our heavy rain warning remains in place for northern parts of the region until midday. Lighter falls will continue in some areas until late evening.

How much mm has chch city had!?

60ml here in Okains Bay

We had 65mls overnight in Burnthill.

64mls in Lincoln

My 9am tip out in Annat was 47mm, which brings us up to our april average of 70.05mm

41mls in Bankside so far☔️☔️☔️

Just looked at mine and had just over 40ml from 12oclock yesterday here in waikuku beach

36 here hororata but on water watch for house supply

82.4 currently on our weather station located North Loburn.

33ml overnight for the outskirts of Cheviot

2 inches Waipara

🌧Canterbury Weather Updates heavy rain warning has been updated at 6:20am this morning and remains in place for northern parts of the region until midday.

🔎🌧Significant totals have affected parts of Mid and North Canterbury, with over 2 months rainfall in some areas and further rain today. A few spots may challenge 90-100mm by midday.

⚠️Take care on our roads this morning, especially in North Canterbury, with reports of areas of water pooling in surface flooding in some areas.

West Coast weather update: Blue sky and sunshine all week ☀️

Good it can bugger off up there

Oxford since 9am yesterday, still raining but slowed down

So what happened to 6 days of rain? Yesterday is the only rain North Canty received but we had a diesel/fog mix for days prior! I guess the new 'weather manipulator' played a big part in that
